    About This Role

As our Volunteer Coordinator, you'll match talented, motivated individuals with meaningful opportunities to advance democratic values and social justice.     What You'll Do

    • Welcome and onboard new volunteers joining our cause
    • Assess skills, interests, and availability to create perfect volunteer matches
    • Maintain our volunteer database and track engagement metrics
    • Develop new volunteer roles based on organizational needs and volunteer interests
    • Create orientation materials and volunteer resources
    • Ensure every volunteer feels valued and connected to our mission
    • Coordinate volunteer appreciation events and recognition programs

    Qualifications

    Preferred:

    • 1+ years experience in volunteer management, HR, or people operations
    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Experience with database management and basic data analysis
    • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles
    • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and skill levels
    • Experience with volunteer management platforms (VolunteerHub, SignUpGenius, etc.)
    • Background in nonprofit operations or campaign management
    • Experience in progressive organizing or advocacy work
    • Project management certification or training
