Join Novant Health as a Pet Therapy Volunteer!
Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center is large facility consisting of pediatric, behavioral health, orthopedic, cardiac care, neurosciences, and many more specialized units. Both patients and team members enjoy pet therapy visits and seeing the dogs at various events held by the hospital throughout the year.
We will work with your schedule! Volunteering requires a commitment of at least 2 visits every month although a consistent, weekly schedule is preferred. Weekend and evening visits are welcomed.
Dogs and handlers must be certified as pet therapy volunteers. Novant Health accepts most certifications including Therapy Dogs International, Alliance of Therapy Dogs, The Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs, and Invisible Paw Prints.
Please email Skylar, the Volunteer Coordinator for the Pet Therapy Program, with any questions.
