    Description

    Volunteer with Sutter Hospice (a nonprofit hospice)

    Hospice Volunteers support people at the end of life in a variety of important and meaningful ways.

    Common activities include:

    • Providing a comforting presence to people with terminal illnesses
    • Engaging in life-review and socializing
    • Giving family members time to care for themselves
    • Socializing with people who have limited support systems
    • Running errands or performing small tasks around the home
    • Helping in the administrative office

    **Hospice volunteers do not perform medical or caregiving tasks**
