Cuddle and care for our kitties!

Want to make a direct impact on the daily lives of our animals? As a Cat Care Volunteer, you'll provide hands-on care by feeding, cleaning cages, doing laundry and dishes, and socializing kitties temporarily housed at Hopalong's Oakland office. Help is needed throughout the day as early as 8 am or as late as 7 pm, seven days a week.

Time Commitment: Two hours per week, or every other week on a regularly scheduled shift - occasional need for ad hoc support.

Qualifications: Comfortable bending, squatting, and kneeling; ability to lift up to 15 pounds comfortably; will require standing/walking for the majority of the shift; ability to work independently; experience handling cats preferred but not required!

Duties: Help staff in caring for the physical and emotional well-being of cats and kittens in the Oakland office; provide kitties with clean water and food, clean cat rooms or cages, do laundry, wash dishes; groom and socialize kitties; help monitor our animals, providing valuable feedback to staff about concerns and observations.
