    Volunteer Friend to a Neighbor Experiencing Homelessness

    UPLIFT San Diego is looking for dedicated and passionate individuals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness by volunteering as a friend in our Be a Friend/Home Team Program!

    Volunteer Friends meet with their Neighbor at least once a month in person over breakfast or lunch to get to know each other. and calls their Neighbor at least once a month to talk on the phone and check in with them. UPLIFT provides an orientation training and ongoing support from the Program Manager. Additionally, in conjunction with our Home Team program, volunteers will support individuals on their journey to stable housing and may coordinate with case managers for housing placement.
