Metro-Detroit Based Public Relations Volunteer

Are you a communications pro or a student looking for valuable PR experience? We’re seeking a public relations volunteer to help us raise awareness and tell the story of W.I.S.E. Partnership. In this role, you will support our communications efforts by assisting with press releases, social media posts, media outreach, and promotional materials for events and programs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating engaging press releases, social media posts, and blog content

• Reach out to media outlets and influencers for coverage and partnership opportunities

• Support the creation of promotional materials for events

• Help manage social media accounts and online presence

• Coordinate communication between community partners and media

Qualifications:

• Strong writing and editing skills

• Experience or interest in PR, communications, or marketing

• Extremely familiar with Detroit and grassroot community development

• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
