Time Commitment: 4-6 hours/month (virtual meetings, hands-on engagement)

About Us:

Powered By Love is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in a simple but profound belief: Love begins in the heart but comes alive through action. We provide essential resources resources to those who need it most including the unhoused, students, disaster survivors, LGBTQ+ youth, and marginalized communities through campaigns that deliver toiletry items, water, school supplies, clothing, and food.

Board Roles We’re Seeking:

We are recruiting 5-7 board members, including:

• Vice Chair

• Treasurer

• Secretary

• At-Large Members with passion for:

  • Fundraising & partnerships

  • Community outreach

  • Campaign development (e.g., hygiene kits, school supply drives)

Responsibilities:

• Attend bi-monthly board meetings (virtual)

• One year appointment

• Provide strategic guidance as we expand campaigns and partnerships

• Support fundraising efforts (give a personally meaningful gift + help raise funds)

• Serve on at least one committee (e.g., fundraising, community engagement, campaigns)

• Champion the mission through outreach, advocacy, or strategic support

• Help relaunch and grow our campaign efforts with focus and heart

Ideal Candidates:

We’re looking for values-driven leaders who are:

• Passionate about social justice and community impact

• Comfortable in a hands-on "working board" model

• Experienced in nonprofits, fundraising, marketing, finance, or leadership

• Willing to grow alongside a grassroots organization rebuilding from the heart
