Co-Chair for finEQUITY Board (Remote Volunteer Position)

About: finEQUITY is a nonprofit dedicated to creating trusted onramps to financial inclusion for justice-impacted individuals and their families. We work to expand economic opportunity, strengthen leadership pathways, and support second-chance businesses and their employees as they grow and thrive.

Opportunity: finEQUITY is seeking a Co-Chair for our board to help guide the organization’s strategic direction and governance. The Co-Chair will play a key role in advancing our mission and supporting the board in its responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership alongside the current Chair in overseeing board meetings and strategic discussions.
• Support governance, fundraising, and financial oversight.
• Partner with Finequity’s leadership to strengthen our impact and visibility.
• Serve as an ambassador for Finequity, building relationships with potential supporters and partners.

Ideal Candidate

• Prior board experience (nonprofit or corporate) (required).
• Demonstrated leadership, fundraising, or governance skills.
• A passion for expanding economic opportunities for justice-impacted individuals and communities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Commitment: This is a volunteer position. The expected commitment includes quarterly virtual board meetings and additional engagement in committees or fundraising initiatives. (2 hours per meeting)
