    Description

At Friends For Life, every animal matters. Founded in 2002, Friends For Life introduced the no-kill shelter model to Houston - saving animals regardless of their breed, age or condition.

Houston-grown, we’re here to help our neighbors care for the pets they love.

We’re not finished until every animal has a safe home. Until then, we’ll be innovating, improving and tracking results to find the most effective ways to save lives.

Do you love talking with people and have great communication/listening skills? We have the perfect volunteer position for you!

The Greeter will welcome people to the shelter, ask them what they need, and then provide basic details about adopting (including our adoption process), fostering, volunteering, or donating (depending on what the visitors has stopped in for). We created an outline of talking points with all these basics covered to keep it simple. Greeters will be equipped to cover the most basic, high-level version of this information so they can get visitors to the right place efficiently.
