    Surrender Coordinator

    We are looking for someone who lives in Wisconsin or is very familiar with the state, since this position involves arranging assessments and transports across Wisconsin.

    The Surrender Coordinator, facilitates the intake process for Golden Retrievers and Golden mixes entering our rescue program. Many of our surrenders come from loving owners facing unexpected life changes. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition for these dogs by providing compassionate support, organization, and flexibility throughout the process.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Communicate with owners surrendering their dogs, providing guidance and support throughout the surrender process
    • Coordinate with assessment and transport teams to arrange dog evaluations and transportation
    • Ensure all surrender of ownership and assessment documentation is completed and communicated to the foster team
    • Email the GRRoW volunteer network to secure necessary transporters and assessors
    • Ensure that transport volunteers are properly trained in safety procedures and protocols

    Qualifications

    • Regular access to email with ability to respond promptly
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication abilities, especially in sensitive situations
    • Compassionate approach when working with owners facing difficult decisions
    • Flexibility to coordinate time-sensitive logistics as needed
