Ascencia (Glendale) - Nonprofit focused on homelessness services and prevention

Ascencia is a nonprofit in Glendale which has provided services and shelter to our unhoused neighbors for over 17 years. Ascencia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing housing and support services for homeless adults and children. Ascencia is the only comprehensive homeless service agency in the region, providing case management to 1,200 people annually, street outreach in Glendale, Burbank, West Hollywood, Northeast Los Angeles, Hollywood, Los Feliz, and surrounding cities, and a 45-bed Emergency Housing program for over 300 residents every year. In addition, Ascencia offers shelter, three meals per day, clothing, food, essentials, wrap around services, and case management services. What we do works. In 2023, 98% of Ascencia clients placed in permanent housing stayed housed for at least one year. In addition, our volunteers are an essential backbone to our organization and services.In the past year, Ascencia has had 475 total volunteers that have volunteered for a total of 8,000 hours for Ascencia.
