    Key Responsibilities

    As the Creative Education Programs Manager, you will take a leadership role in shaping and implementing Obu Lamu’s educational initiatives:

    • Curriculum Development & Training: Design, adapt, and oversee curricula for hybrid learning models.
    • Educator Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and professional development to educators, ensuring high-quality instruction.
    • Student Support & Individualized Learning Plans (IEPs): Assess student needs, develop personalized education plans, and monitor student progress.
    • Online Learning Enhancement: Implement assistive technology, refine virtual classroom strategies, and ensure inclusivity in digital education.
    • Community Engagement: Organize webinars, workshops, and advocacy sessions both virtually and in-person to strengthen parent, caregiver, and teacher involvement.
    • Monitoring & Evaluation: Track student progress, assess program effectiveness, and refine teaching methodologies.
    • Class Facilitation: Support interactive learning environments and foster collaboration between students and educators.
    • Volunteers & Educators Supervision: Oversee volunteers and educators, ensuring alignment with Obu Lamu’s educational goals.

    Volunteering and Path to Full Employment

    This position begins as a volunteer role for three months, with a volunteer allowance to support you, allowing you to familiarize yourself with our work, values, and impact. After the volunteer period, successful candidates will receive training and be evaluated for potential formal employment.

    Qualifications and Experience

    The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Additional qualifications in Special Needs Education are considered an advantage. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in leadership, preferably in educational or youth development settings, and a proven ability to mentor educators, manage programs, and oversee student progress.
