    Volunteer Docent for FOR-SITE Art Exhibition- Black Gold: Stories Untold

    FOR-SITE invites you to join our team of Volunteer Docents for Black Gold: Stories Untold, presented at Fort Point National Historic Site in San Francisco from June 6 to November 2, 2025.

    We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for art and the natural and cultural history of San Francisco, as well as a desire to share their knowledge with the public. No prior experience is needed as training will be provided. You do not need to be an art or history expert. Black Gold: Stories Untold volunteer docents will orient and interact with visitors, answer questions about and explain the artworks, and provide information about the artists and the themes at work in the exhibition, as well as their relevance to the site. Docents will also monitor assigned locations for security, traffic flow, and art maintenance.
