    Description

At Friends For Life, every animal matters. Founded in 2002, Friends For Life introduced the no-kill shelter model to Houston - saving animals regardless of their breed, age or condition.

Houston-grown, we’re here to help our neighbors care for the pets they love.

We’re not finished until every animal has a safe home. Until then, we’ll be innovating, improving and tracking results to find the most effective ways to save lives.

We have an amazing cat enrichment and behavior team, and we always need more help!

As a cat enrichment volunteer, you will help provide various enrichment needs to our cats (think kitty kongs and bubbles!). Enrichment volunteers are essential to helping improve the daily lives of our cats at the shelter. Our Behavior volunteer program is a five-step program, and you'll start out as a BV1 volunteer (behavior volunteer - level 1). Our behavior program is truly one-of-a-kind. You'll learn such much, like how animals communicate, different types of enrichment, how to read body language, learning theory, and so much more.

Sign up today to help our cats get the socialization and enrichment that they deserve!
