    Description

    Development Volunteer

    REACH Beyond Domestic Violence is seeking a volunteer to assist our Development Team in day-to-day operations. This volunteer role requires 10-12 total hours per week, with at least two shifts in our office in Waltham. Shifts must take place between 9am and 5pm Monday-Thursday, ideally on non-consecutive days. Exact hours are flexible.

    Volunteer Responsibilities:

      • Manage donor database where all donor, constituent, and donation/transaction information is housed
      • Create new donor records in database as needed and ensure any changes to donor information are updated in database (new address, etc.); merge duplicate donor records as needed
      • Manage gift processing for all donation types; enter check donations in database, review and update credit card donations, track and enter wire donations, create donor records and enter donations received through third party and peer-to-peer events
      • Manage donation portals that wire transfer donations are passed through; log in consistently to ensure all donations are record in database; ‘accept’ donation requests
      • Manage recurring donations; ensure they are made every week or month as intended
      • Enter in-kind donations in database, including donations dropped to office, donations purchased from Amazon wish list, and more
      • Pull weekly, monthly and as-needed donor and transaction reports from database into excel; share, update, manipulate, and maintain excel spreadsheets
      • Manage acknowledgement letters process; pull donation reports from database, conduct mail merges, review letters, print for signature, assemble and stamp mailings, and mail
      • Provide administrative support as needed for donor portfolio management for Development Director, Assistant Development Director, and Executive Director
      • Assist with administrative tasks such as making copies, mailings, compiling materials for meetings, organizing files and marketing collateral, completing expense reports, and additional projects as needed

    Skills or other requirements: Strong time management, attention to detail, comfortable working in databases and Excel
