    Description

    The Philanthropy Specialist will be responsible for managing the organization's fundraising and philanthropy efforts, with a focus on developing relationships with donors and securing funding for the organization. This role will work closely with the development team to identify, cultivate, and solicit donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations. The successful candidate will have a passion for the organization's mission, excellent relationship-building skills, and a track record of fundraising success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify, cultivate, and solicit donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations
    • Develop and implement fundraising strategies and plans to meet or exceed fundraising goals
    • Build and maintain relationships with donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations
    • Prepare proposals and presentations for potential donors
    • Manage the donor database and track donations and pledges
    • Collaborate with the development team to ensure that fundraising efforts align with the organization's mission and goals
    • Attend meetings, events, and other functions as needed to represent the organization and advance fundraising goals

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit setting (preferred but not required)
    • Strong understanding of fundraising principles and techniques
    • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and fundraising database management
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
