    Description

    Karaoke Host Volunteer - Leland House

    Program Summary: Our popular Karaoke group at Leland is searching for a new volunteer to host the biweekly event! Music is a great way for residents to socialize, express themselves, and have fun. We are searching for a music-loving and social, outgoing volunteer to host a karaoke group twice a month during a weekday evening.

    Location: 21 Newton St, Waltham, MA 02453

    Key responsibilities:

    • Learn how to use and set up projector, laptop, microphone, and youtube karaoke music.

    • Facilitate karaoke group, helping residents select songs to sing along to

    • Participate in the singing - encouraging residents to join in and even sing along with residents!

    • Socialize with residents and encourage them to come back each week

    Impact Goal: To provide a fun and social program for music loving residents.

    Qualifications:

    • Volunteer must be 16 years and older for this position

    • Interested in music and willing to participate in the group

    • Strong leadership and independence to facilitate the group

    • Comfortable using a projector, laptop and HDMI cord, microphone, and youtube website

    • Friendly and welcoming attitude

    Time Commitment/Schedule: Preferred schedule: Twice a month on a weekday evening. Volunteer must commit to at least 3 months and keep a regular schedule.
