Beacon Hospice, an Amedisys company, is seeking Veteran Volunteers to offer companionship to patients who have served our country and are nearing the end of their lives.

Veteran Volunteers possess a unique ability to empathize and connect with Veteran patients and their families. They can make a significant impact in various ways, including, but not limited to:

    • Providing Companionship
    • Celebrating a patient's life
    • Reading books or writing letters
    • Engaging in games like chess, cards, bingo, and other board games
    • Watching television or listening to music together

Beacon Hospice provides training for all individuals interested in offering comfort to others in their final days. We ask for a commitment of 1 - 2 hours per week for patient visits.

Join us in extending the warmth of hospice care to our Veteran Patients.
