    Global Outreach Doctors is a humanitarian medical nonprofit committed

    to delivering life-saving healthcare to vulnerable populations worldwide.

    Through volunteer medical professionals, strategic partnerships, and

    community-based initiatives, we provide critical medical care in crisis

    zones, underserved communities, and regions affected by natural

    disasters, conflict, and displacement.

    Over the past 12 years, GoDocs has completed 50 medical missions in

    regions including Ukraine, Iraq, the Syria border, Nepal, Mexico, Ethiopia,

    Lesvos, Bangladesh, Puerto Rico, Kenya, the DRC, Turkey, Poland,

    Panama, the Philippines, Colombia, Ecuador, Grenada, Jamaica, and the

    USA

    Position Summary

    The Volunteer Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is the senior clinical leader

    of the organization is based in the USA, responsible for overseeing the

    medical vision, quality of care, and safety of all clinical operations and

    programs. The CMO ensures that services are evidence-based, culturally

    sensitive, and delivered to the highest ethical and professional standards.

    This role is both strategic and operational, involving remote leadership of

    the country director and medical teams in the field as well as shaping

    long-term organizational priorities.

    Key Responsibilities

    Medical Leadership & Strategy

    • Define and implement the organization’s medical vision and

    strategy in alignment with its mission.

    • Provide clinical leadership for global operations, ensuring programs

    are effective, sustainable, and impactful.

    • Oversee medical policies, protocols, and standards of care to

    ensure best practices across all programs.

    Clinical Governance & Quality Assurance

    • Ensure medical programs meet international humanitarian and

    public health standards. * Establish systems for monitoring, evaluation, and continuous

    improvement of healthcare delivery.

    • Lead risk management and medical ethics oversight.

    Program Oversight & Deployment

    • Supervise medical response efforts in emergencies, including

    conflict zones, natural disasters, and refugee crises.

    • Support recruitment, training, and deployment of volunteer

    healthcare professionals.

    • Ensure medical supply chains, telemedicine, and field operations are

    safe, efficient, and effective.

    Collaboration & Representation

    • Represent the organization in coalitions, conferences, and with

    international health bodies.

    • Build and maintain partnerships with NGOs, governments, UN

    agencies, and academic institutions.

    Team Development & Mentorship

    • Lead and mentor a global team of physicians, nurses, paramedics,

    mental health providers, and allied health professionals.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration, resilience, and excellence in field

    operations. * Support volunteer engagement and professional development

    initiatives.

    Qualifications

    • Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) with active board

    certification in a relevant specialty.

    • Minimum 10 years of clinical experience, including leadership in

    humanitarian, global health, or emergency medicine settings.

    • Proven experience in crisis response (e.g., war zones, disaster relief,

    epidemic outbreaks).

    • Strong knowledge of global health systems, humanitarian principles,

    and international medical protocols.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-cultural

    management skills.

    Preferred Skills & Attributes

    • Advanced degree in Public Health, Global Health, or Health

    Administration (MPH, MSc, MBA, etc.).

    • Experience with nonprofit management, medical research, or health

    policy.

    • Resilient, adaptable, and committed to serving vulnerable

    populations.
