    Description

Adult Literacy Volunteer Tutors & Board Members Needed

ReadWest is looking for adults 17 years of age and older to assist adults with low literacy in reading, writing, math, speaking English and basic computer skills. We are asking volunteers to complete English as a Second Language Tutor training and/or Basic Literacy Tutor training. After training, volunteers will meet with an adult learner once a week for 2 hours to work on their literacy goals. Currently, tutors are meeting their students online and in person. ReadWest has rooms available for pairs to meet or we can train you to tutor online. No teaching experience or foreign language needed, we will show you how.

ReadWest is the largest independent adult literacy center in New Mexico. We are currently looking for Working Board Members to assist us with public outreach and board development. Contact Cyndy at ReadWest to learn more about this opportunity. Come join our elite family of volunteer board members and tutors.
