    Description

    Tutor a Refugee Student

Want to help refugee students succeed in school? In the last year, RefugeeOne welcomed over 700 refugees from all over the world to Chicago - and we need your support to help refugee youth thrive!

Volunteers in our In-Home Youth Tutoring program will be matched 1:1 with a recently arrived school-aged youth (5-14) to serve as a friend and role model. Tutors meet refugee students in their homes to:

    • Provide academic tutoring
    • Practice English
    • Encourage healthy school habits
    • Provide social support as they navigate life and school in Chicago
    • Share culture and hobbies
    • ...and more!

No additional languages skills required, flexible scheduling to match your availability.
