    Opportunity: Join our Board as a Grant Writers

    Our organization aims to identify, research, and pursue grant funding opportunities to enhance and expand critical programs, services, and initiatives that provide essential assistance to those in need.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    We are seeking volunteer grant writers to play a vital role in securing funding to further our mission. As a grant writer, your responsibilities will include:

    • Identifying new and relevant grant opportunities to support our programs.
    • Gathering necessary information to effectively present the goals, objectives, purpose, and budget of our initiatives.
    • Conducting thorough research on potential grants and funding sources.
    • Collaborating in all stages of grant writing, from preparation to submission.
    • Creating letters of inquiry, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), proposals, budgets, and other supplementary documents in response to grant solicitations.
    • Crafting and submitting comprehensive reports to foundations and funders.
    • Developing well-researched, compelling, and properly documented grant and fundraising proposals to generate revenue for our organization's programs and services.

    Requirements:

    To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

    Proficiency in accessing electronic data resources, collecting and analyzing data for planning reports, and composing integrated information for grant development.

    • Strong diplomatic, collaborative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to incorporate feedback and revisions effectively.
    • Exceptional writing abilities, including the capacity to convey ideas persuasively and compassionately to make a compelling case for funding.
    • Skill in developing comprehensive proposal budgets.
    • Effective teamwork skills and the ability to function in group settings.
    • Experience in program feasibility planning.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Proven success in working within deadline-driven environments.
    • Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and complete work accurately, showcasing excellent time management.
    • A deep passion for our organization's mission and a commitment to its success.
    • Ability to collaborate harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals.
