    Membership on TFH’s Board of Directors offers an exciting and challenging opportunity for committed individuals who share an affinity with our mission and our commitment to the men and women who serve California. The board is an active participant in the committee’s annual evaluation and planning efforts and sets the strategic direction for the organization.

    The Board currently includes 5 directors from a variety of personal and professional backgrounds.

    Tenure

    After interviews with members of the Board and Executive Director, nominees are elected by the full board. 1 term = 3 years no more than 2 consecutive terms

    Principle Responsibilities

    It is expected that all Board Members of Police and Fire: The Fallen Heroes meet a common set of expectations in terms of their role and commitment to TFH. This document is intended to establish the baseline of responsibilities expected of all Board members.

    In general, all Board members have the responsibility to ensure that TFH does the best work possible in pursuing its mission and improving the quality of relationships. Board members are expected to govern TFH while judiciously providing support for programs and initiatives (in concert with the Executive Director).
