    Are you a film lover who enjoys great stories and meaningful conversations? Want to help shape the future of a grassroots, femme-centered film festival? Join the BBFF volunteer team as a Screener & Festival Evaluator!

    We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to watch films and and gather feedback about your festival experience. Your insights will help us improve, grow, and continue creating space for powerful, underrepresented voices in film.

    🎥 What You’ll Do

    • Watch as many films as you’d like from any of our 7 curated film blocks
    • Assist with audience surveys before or after screenings
    • Provide light logistical help, like greeting guests or tracking attendance

    🍿 Perks

    • Watch any and all films for free — 44 international shorts and features!
    • Enjoy light snacks & refreshments
    • Take part in a cash raffle just for volunteers
    • Receive a 30-minute lunch break during your shift
    • Meet other creatives, cinephiles, and community members

    Evaluator Instructions – Black & Brown Femme Film Festival

    🎥 Screening Room 201 (2nd Floor)

    Thank you for volunteering as a Festival Evaluator for BBFF! Here’s what to do when you arrive:

    1. Head to the 2nd floor and look for Screening Room 201.
    2. Check in at the BBFF Table located just outside the screening room.
    3. Let the staff know that you're an evaluator — they’ll hand you an evaluation form.
    4. Watch the film block, then complete the form immediately afterward.
    5. Return the completed form to the BBFF Table.
    6. If you’re staying for another block, pick up a new form and repeat — you’re welcome to evaluate as many blocks as you like!
    7. If there is a panel following a screening, please stay and evaluate the panel as part of your feedback.

    Instructions:

    All volunteers must be 18 years or older. We ask that you remain respectful to festival attendees by keeping noise to a minimum—no loud talking in the theater. Please follow instructions from BBFF staff and remain discreet while helping during screenings or events.

    This is a great opportunity to support independent film and community storytelling. Just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to help!
