BluShues Inc. is a non-profit organization, and ministry, dedicated to distributing free Bibles and fostering a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our mission is to make the Word of God accessible to everyone, both locally and internationally. We believe in the transformative power of volunteers who share our passion for spreading the message of hope and faith.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Volunteer Coordinator with volunteer activities and assignments to ensure effective implementation of our mission-focused initiatives.
- Interview, train, and onboard new volunteers, providing them with necessary information and resources to support their roles.
- Develop and maintain relationships with volunteers, fostering a sense of community and engagement within the organization.
- Organize and facilitate volunteer meetings, trainings, and events to promote collaboration and teamwork.
- Collaborate with other team members to integrate volunteer efforts into overall organizational strategies and goals.
Person Specification:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions independently.
- Collaborative team player, with a positive attitude and willingness to support others.
- Commitment to BluShues’ Christian values and willingness to sign a Statement of Faith.
- Previous experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and volunteer management software is a plus.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Availability between 9am-3pm (EST) Mondays – Fridays
- College Diploma, administrative experience or equivalent work experience role preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with volunteers, stakeholders, and community partners.
- Proficient in project management and organizational skills, with a track record of successfully coordinating and executing initiatives preferred but not required.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
