    Description

    Veggies in the Desert

Would you like to learn more about organic vegetable gardening in a peaceful desert oasis? Or are you a senior longing to get your hands in the dirt again? Help is needed with watering, harvesting, fertilizing, special projects, etc. You can set your own timing. As a 501c3 nonprofit, we depend on our volunteer and are eager to start offering opportunities on site again after a long year of covid isolation.

Desert Ashram, a meditation and retreat center in northwest Tucson that is dedicated to universal spirituality, is home to numerous large trees, native plants and wildlife. Our small vegetable garden, pecan orchard, fruit trees fed by gray water, and solar energy are important parts of our dedication to living a harmonious and sustainable life.
