    Role Overview:

True Connection is looking for a Graphic Design Volunteer to help create visually compelling, educational, and mission-aligned social media graphics. These images will be designed to educate and inspire our audience around the Six Pillars of Interconnectedness (Nature, Ancient Wisdom, The Cosmos, Cultures, Climate Action, and Mindful Living).

If you’re passionate about sustainability, social impact, and digital storytelling-and you love translating ideas into scroll-stopping visuals-this is the perfect opportunity to apply your skills for a meaningful cause.

Our visual style is aligned with IG profiles like @unitednations, @theglobalgoals, and @1millionwomen, combining clean, impactful design with informative and engaging content.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design social media graphics (primarily for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn) that align with True Connection’s mission and aesthetic.
    • Focus on educational posts related to our Six Pillars, ensuring content is clear, digestible, and visually compelling.
    • Create carousel posts, infographics, quote graphics, and story slides that engage our community.
    • Collaborate with our Social Media Content Manager to ensure visuals match captions and weekly article themes.
    • Use Canva (preferred) or Adobe tools to create editable, reusable templates for easy collaboration.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Strong eye for design, typography, and layout.
    • Experience creating social media graphics (IG carousels, story slides, quote graphics, etc.).
    • Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, engaging visuals.
    • Proficiency in Canva (preferred) or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
    • Familiarity with brand consistency and social media design best practices.
    • Passion for sustainability, education, and creative impact.

    Opportunities for Growth:

    • Build your portfolio with real-world design work for a purpose-driven brand.
    • Gain experience in educational and cause-based social media marketing.
    • Work in collaboration with writers and strategists to refine your skills in visual storytelling.
    • Potential to expand into a lead graphic design role based on skill and interest.

    Commitment & Expectations:

    • 5-8 hours per week, flexible schedule.
    • Minimum 3-month commitment, with potential to continue.
    • Ability to meet weekly design deadlines and collaborate effectively.
    • Open communication via email/Slack.

    How to Apply:

    Email nadine@true-connection.org with:

    • A brief introduction on why you’re interested.
    • Your design portfolio or examples of past work (social media graphics, carousels, IG stories, etc.).
    • Let us know if you have experience using Canva or Adobe tools.

Looking forward to seeing your creativity!
