We have opportunities for volunteers who want to support and serve the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho but do not require that you live in or near Boise. Some of the opportunities we rely on volunteers to do are:
Provide a meal to the families currently staying at the Ronald McDonald House by donating gift cards or having a meal delivered by a local restaurant.
Sew/crochet/knit comfort items: blankets of varying sizes (baby through teens), stuffies with soft eyes, and (sewn) pillowcases keep guests warm, cozy, and comforted both in the hospital and when they go home.
Assemble wellness kits to give out to families. Wellness kits include travel tissues (Kleenex or other brand), travel-size hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, and one disposable facemask in a quart-sized resealable plastic bag (Ziploc or other brand). Please be sure to prepare the wellness kits in a sanitary environment.
Host an online wishlist drive. Each month we publish a wishlist of items that are running low. You can always see our current wishlist at https://www.rmhcidaho.org/wishlist/ Highlight the needs on social media. Feel free add information from our blog (linked on our website), or repost from our social media sites, so your friends and family can understand the impact that their gift makes. Help us spread the word!
Finished items can be sent to:
