    Description

    Media Relations Director

    Media Relations Director develops and implements policies and procedures for the relations between the media and the organization. Works to expand understanding of the organization's business, performance, and strategy. Media Relations Director prepares summaries of media activity for senior management. May serve as the company's spokesperson. Implements the organization's social media strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging with internal marketing and Outreach teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating an engaged social media community. Strong project management.

    Additionally, the Media Relations Director requires a bachelor's degree. Reports to the Associate Director. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Media Relations Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.

    This is a remote/virtual position however, the preferred candidate will live/work in the United States.
