    Become a Reading Together Mentor - 1 Hour a Week Can Change a Child’s Story

    Do you believe in the power of books to open doors? The Reading Together program at Saint Paul Public Library is looking for dedicated mentors to help 1st-5th graders grow their reading skills and confidence.

    The Commitment:

    ·Just 1 hour a week, October-Mid-May

    ·Built-in winter break mid-December to mid-January

    ·Consistency is key-your full commitment ensures every student has the support they need to thrive.

    The Experience:

    Reading Together isn’t "more school." It’s about making reading fun and engaging so kids look forward to it every week. As a mentor, you’ll:

    ·Spark a love of reading through play, creativity, and stories

    ·Build a trusting relationship with a young reader

    ·Create a welcoming space where progress feels exciting, not pressured

    This is mentorship with heart. Your encouragement and presence will mean as much as the books you share.
