    Looking for a Motivated Kitchen Support Volunteer for the Youth Resource Center

    Volunteer Opportunity: Kitchen Support at the Youth Resource Center

    Are you passionate about food and service? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of young people experiencing homelessness? The Youth Resource Center is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Support Volunteer to join our team this October.

    Schedule:

    • 2-hour shifts on Tuesdays & Thursdays during the second and third week of October
    • Flexible hours between 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
    • This opportunity may be extended if the need exists

    Who We’re Looking For:

    • Age 18+
    • Preferably with food industry or kitchen experience
    • Self-motivated, dependable, and ready to work
    • Comfortable engaging in a respectful environment that serves homeless and LGBTQIA+ youth

    Duties Include:

    • Stocking and maintaining kitchen and client pantries
    • Preparing move-in meal kits
    • Breaking down sack lunches
    • Receiving and organizing deliveries
    • Assisting with cleaning and sanitation tasks
    • Restocking common-use food and supply items
    • Other kitchen-related tasks as needed

    Supervision & Requirements:

    This volunteer will work under the guidance of the Food Service Coordinator. All volunteers are required to sign a liability waiver, client boundaries waiver, and confidentiality agreement prior to service. Our Team Manager will review applications and contact you for a screening interview if it looks like a good fit.
