    A Friendly visit makes a difference for home patients-VITAS Healthcare-St. Louis, MO 63138

    VITAS Healthcare is looking for Patient Care Volunteers to visit patients in their own homes residing in St. Louis, MO 63138. Volunteers help terminally ill patients and their families by making friendly visits to provide companionship and socialization, playing games and music, assist with errands and tasks in the home as well as caregiver relief.

    Volunteers that visit patients at VITAS Healthcare provide specific, non- medical care through socialization and friendly visits. With hospice training, skill sets are sharpened and new ones emerge. Hospice volunteers are trained in communication skills, family dynamics and how to make a positive difference for patients and their caregivers. In addition, all volunteers receive training in hospice philosophy, health/safety precautions and more. Days and times are flexible according to your availability.
