    Lead a Tai Chi Class for Seniors in Oakland (Madison)

    Position: Tai Chi Instructor

    Do you enjoy Tai Chi and teaching others to live healthier lives? Volunteer to lead a Tai Chi class for seniors living at Madison Apartments in Oakland! Time and day flexible during normal business hours (between Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm).

    By leading a Tai Chi class, you will help to give seniors an outlet for physical activity and help them to enrich their overall wellness. The volunteer will prepare an agenda for each class and lead residents through various exercises while providing positive feedback and support. If you're looking to make a difference in your community, this is a wonderful opportunity to gain teaching experience with students who are eager to learn.

    Requirements: Ongoing SAHA Community Volunteers must commit to volunteer once a week for a minimum of 4 months, and must complete a volunteer orientation, volunteer forms and background screening prior to beginning their placement.
