    We do accept volunteers under 16 years of age. Volunteers under the age of 16 require a chaperone or parent/guardian to be present. All volunteers must be willing to walk in an outdoor environment through uneven terrain and greenbelt foliage.

    Description

    Adopt-the-Greenbelt Boise River Cleanup

    Our adopted section of the Boise greenbelt runs through the heart of downtown from Capitol Boulevard to Broadway Avenue. This section is a highly used area and we are looking for volunteers that are passionate about keeping the Boise River clean to join us!

    As this volunteer program has grown, we've been able to extend our efforts beyond our adopted section of the greenbelt and we would love to see our impact continue to grow in the Boise area.

    Adopt-a-Greenbelt clean-up schedule:
    • June 18 @ 6PM (Social hour at Matlack's following the cleanup)
    • August 3 @ 10AM (breakfast treat + coffee provided -- bring your own coffee cup)
    • September 17 @ 6PM (Social hour TBD)
    • October 8 @ 5PM
    Everyone must complete Idaho Rivers United's 2025 volunteer waiver before participating in IRU volunteer activities. Please fill out our waiver form located HERE.

    Private Group Details:

    • Group Size Range: 1 - 20
    • Event can be held at a volunteer group location (e.g. office, park)
    • Donation Requested
    • Donation is not required, but appreciated.

    2 shifts available:

    • We also invite you to join us for a social hour to follow cleanup at Matlock's from 7:45-9PM.: Wednesday June 18, 2025 - 18:00 to 19:30 MST
    • We invite you to join us for a breakfast treat and coffee before starting your cleanup at 10AM. Bring your own coffee cup.: Sunday August 03, 2025 - 10:00 to 12:00 MST
