Play Rummikub with a Senior Adult!

Program Summary: 2Life is looking for a volunteer who enjoys playing Rummikub to come and play with a resident once a week. We are looking for a volunteer who knows the rules of Rummikub, is friendly, and enjoys building relationships with others.

Location: 21 Newton St, Waltham, MA 02453

Key responsibilities:

• Contact resident to schedule visits

• Visit resident once a week to play Rummikub and socialize

• Update staff of any concerns

Impact Goal: Provide companionship to a resident and provide opportunity to engage in a stimulating game.

Qualifications:

• Knows the rules of Rummikub and enjoys playing the game

• Comfortable working with older adults

• Friendly, patient, and ability to keep a conversation going

Schedule/Time Commitment: Once a week for an hour, day of week and time is flexible. Volunteer must commit to at least 3 months and keep a regular schedule.

Number of Volunteers Needed: 1
