    Description

    Formed in 1955, Beach Cities Health District is a public agency that provides health care services to the communities of Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach.

    Conversation Companions provide older and/or disabled adults with socialization. Companions may engage the client in visits in the client's home, just chatting, playing card or board games, taking walks, going for lunch, etc.

    Submit a volunteer application today by going to www.bchd.org/volunteer. Applicants will be required to attend a BCHD orientation and training. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Must be compassionate and commit to minimum 6 months (ideally, longer) weekly commitment.
