    Description

    The Home Services Volunteer is responsible for carrying out the duties to increase patient's level of comfort and cleanliness, ability to live independently, and to improve the patient's quality of life through the completion of basic household chore and/or maintenance. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • performing basic home maintenance tasks
    • providing home cleaning services
    • performing seasonal outdoor work
    • reporting changes in the patient's medical, nursing and rehabilitative needs
    • completing appropriate records in compliance with Hospice policies.

    The Home Services Volunteer is expected to understand and adhere to Sacred Journey Hospice, Inc. and follow the guidelines for universal precautions when providing care.

    Sacred Journey Hospice is currently still seeking volunteers for this position and has implemented policies to ensure that staff, volunteers and patients are protected from COVID-19.
