    Description of the Role

    The Chinese Social Media Manager will lead LandSeed’s digital strategy and content for Chinese-speaking audiences, particularly within the Chinese Canadian community. This role involves planning, publishing, and engaging on both Western and Chinese platforms while aligning content with the organization’s broader communication goals. You’ll work closely with the design and video teams to ensure content is culturally relevant, visually engaging, and responsive to social media trends.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across Chinese platforms and Western platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok
    • Create, curate, and schedule platform-specific content that resonates with Chinese Canadian audiences
    • Monitor social media engagement and performance metrics; prepare analytics reports and insights
    • Manage community engagement by responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in both English and Chinese
    • Collaborate with design and video teams to produce culturally relevant and visually aligned content
    • Stay current with social media trends, algorithms, and best practices across both language markets
    • Help translate and adapt LandSeed’s voice and mission for bilingual or Chinese-only campaigns

    Required Experience/Skills

    • 2+ years of experience in social media management, with experience in Chinese-language content creation
    • Strong understanding of social media analytics and performance tracking (e.g., engagement rates, ROI)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
    • Experience using social media management platforms (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social)
    • Proficiency in brand voice development and digital storytelling
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
    • Knowledge of paid social advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 3–5 years of experience in a social media or digital marketing role
    • Familiarity with Chinese platforms (e.g., WeChat, Weibo, Xiaohongshu)
    • Experience with influencer marketing or content partnerships
    • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)

    • Scheduling & Management: Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social
    • Analytics: Facebook Insights, LinkedIn Analytics, Google Analytics
    • Content Creation: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (basic)
    • Paid Media: Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager
    • Chinese Platforms (if applicable): WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Weibo
    • Community Management Tools: Native platform tools
