The Radcliffe Room, a New York Avenue Presbyterian Church program that has been lifting up people who live in the streets and shelters of Washington for decades, is seeking regular volunteers to serve food, distribute clothing and be a friend to 150 or so people who need all three. We are open on Sunday mornings from 8:15 to 9:30, with volunteers arriving at 7:30. Sure, Radcliffe Room volunteers rise early, but we have bottomless coffee cups, energizing, rewarding work, and a fantastic community of people. And you still have a full day -- and maybe a well-deserved nap -- to look forward to when you're done.
