    Description

We're excited to launch the PAL to Table program at the Fairfield PAL Teen Center, and we need your green thumb! If you have a passion for gardening and love teaching others, this is the perfect opportunity to give back to your community while helping teens develop healthier habits.

What's PAL to Table All About?

PAL to Table is all about connecting teens to nature through gardening, teaching them valuable skills while promoting hydration and healthy eating. Our first project? Growing mint (and possibly strawberries!) to help our members flavor their water and encourage them to drink more!

    Why Volunteer?

Impact the Next Generation: Introduce teens to the basics of gardening, all while helping them develop life skills like responsibility, patience, and teamwork.

Promote Hydration & Health: By growing mint and other fruits, we're creating a hands-on way for teens to engage with healthier food choices, improving hydration and nutrition.

Have Fun in Nature: Gardening isn't just about planting -- it's about creating a space for growth and fun!

    What We Need:

Volunteers with Gardening Experience: Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just someone who loves to dig in the dirt, your skills and knowledge will help make this project flourish.

Time Commitment: Flexible opportunities to help plant, maintain, and teach teens about the garden.

Passion for Youth Development: A heart for working with teens and supporting their growth, both in the garden and in life!

Ready to Get Your Hands Dirty?

Join us in creating something amazing for our youth, while planting seeds for their future -- both literally and figuratively! Together, we'll help teens build healthier habits and experience the joy of growing their own food.

    How to Get Involved:

Call 707-249-1379 to get started. All necessary training is provided at no cost, including Mandated Reporter Training and a Department of Justice Background Check.

Let's grow roots, build skills, and nurture the future -- one mint plant at a time!
