    Description

Learning for ALL (LFA) has two tutoring programs to best meet the needs of all students. Tutors are needed for both programs.

    Conversation Partners is best for:

    • · High beginner to advanced level ESL students
    • · Students who want to focus on improving speaking and listening skills
    • · Students who want to learn about the United States and their community
    • · Students who want a more informal approach to learning English

    Literacy Tutoring is best for:

    • · Low beginner to Advanced level students
    • · Students who want to focus on reading and writing skills
    • · Students who want to use a structured curriculum in their lessons
    • · Students who have time to do homework

We ask that tutors meet with their students at least once a week for an hour. Tutors agree to work with their students for three months and are welcome to continue beyond if interested. Tutors and students are paired based on their availability and preferences. Tutors are provided with an orientation and a curriculum prior to meeting with their student. This is a great opportunity to help adults achieve their life goals and build a stronger community!
