    Description

    Nebraska Wildlife Rehab Cleaning Specialist

Cleaning Specialists ensure our Baldwin Wildlife Center is kept clean & sanitary, as well as helping us wash dishes, do laundry, wash kennels, and sweep & mop floors. This role is an essential part of the daily care of our animals.

Without clean linens and dishes our whole center would come to a grinding halt, and without sanitary floors & surfaces diseases would run rampant throughout the center.

Cleaning Specialists are expected to complete a minimum of three 2-hour shifts per month, year-round. Those interested will also be required to attend a New Volunteer Orientation and a Cleaning Training Class.

NWR's current COVID-19 policy requires all volunteers working around the animals (including transporters) to be COVID vaccinated with a vaccine/booster that has been received within the last 12 months. We have this policy due to certain species of wild animals we get in, like bobcats & mustelids, that can contract and die from COVID-19.

Volunteers must be over the age of 18.
