    Current need is coverage for 3 days per week. Ultimately, we'd like a volunteer managing the front desk every day to free-up the staff. You can pick the day(s) and frequency that works best for you.

    Description

    Front Desk Assistant

    As a volunteer Front Desk Assistant, you will play a vital role in shaping the daily experience of every person who walks through our doors. This position blends heartfelt hospitality with practical support, helping to keep our space safe, respectful, and organized. Volunteers in this role help ensure that both guests and team members feel welcomed and heard, all while helping our programs run smoothly.

    Responsibilities

    ·Greet each client and visitor with kindness and professionalism

    ·Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members

    ·Help manage front desk paperwork, logs, and basic data entry

    ·Enforce site guidelines with clarity and compassion - including saying "no" when needed

    ·Support staff with organizational tasks and help ensure daily operations stay on track

    ·Maintain a calm and welcoming environment at the entryway

    ·Handle sensitive conversations with discretion and a non-judgmental approach
