OHS Info Call Line Volunteer
Info Call Line: The Info Call Line is OHS’s main business line for the public. The Info Line Call Volunteer will become familiar with OHS programs and will direct callers to the OHS website, community resources, or will contact program managers for direction to relay to call back.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- On assigned days, monitor every 2-3 hours the calls that come into Info Call Line on assigned days
- Represent OHS to the public
- Direct callers to OHS website or ask program managers for answers as needed
- Research needed responses on website to share with caller and send email with instructions if requested
- Follow up with callers if necessary
- Enter calls and your responses into a log form after each response
- Treat callers’ questions as private and confidential to OHS
Skills/Competencies:
- Communications skills
- Writing skills
Who should apply:
- Someone familiar with the needs of the communities OHS serves.
- Someone with passion for helping others, with passion for animals
- One that likes to work with others and will seek the correct answers within OHS or the community to inform the public
- Someone who would like to volunteer from home
- Someone who respects people’s privacy
- Minimum of 18 years old
Required time expected:
- Daily monitoring of call line on assigned days
- Virtual training
