    Kitchen Volunteer

    Moveable Feast home delivers nutritious meals to those living with HIV, cancer, and other chronic illnesses. We also offer fresh produce, supplements, and medical transportation. This all comes at no cost to the client - as many of them are living below the poverty line and don't have access to nutrition they need to live a healthy life as they battle their conditions.

    Support our chef with the preparation and distribution of over 8,500 meals a week! From chopping produce to packaging meals; our volunteers do it all. Interested in making an impact in the lives of Marylanders experiencing chronic illness and food insecurity? Reach out today!

    Morning Shifts: Monday - Friday 8 - 11:30 am

    Afternoon Shifts: Monday - Friday 12:15 - 2:30 pm

    Volunteer TasksInclude:
    • Washing, chopping, and seasoning produce
    • Prepping proteins
    • Bagging fresh produce
    • Packaging and labeling meal trays
    • Sorting meals by dietary needs and delivery schedules
    • Cleaning tasks like wiping tables, dishes, sweeping, and mopping
    Volunteer Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for 3+ hours
    • Ability to repeatedly chop, scoop, or perform similar tasks for 3+ hours
    • Follow verbal instructions
    • Minimum age: 14 (volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian)
