    Description

Walker Farm Pioneer Days Volunteers and Demonstrators Needed!

Walker Farm Pioneer Days (November 17–22, 2025) is just around the corner, and we need your help to bring history to life!

We had 4200 Elementary Children and their families attend the 6 day event last year!

    Volunteer Roles

    • Parking Volunteers – Direct traffic and ensure a safe, smooth flow for school buses and cars.
    • Check-In Volunteers – Greet arriving groups, hand out maps or schedules, and answer basic questions. Take payments from school chaperones that didn't prepay.
    • Giftshop attendant - Take payment for giftshop items and payments for those that didn't pre-register. Answer phones if needed.
    • Station Volunteers – Guide or assist students through the station you are assigned. Tell the history of that station and guide students through hands-on learning. From butter churning to using a 1800s Cider press. Full list of stations below.
    • Demonstrators – Share a traditional skill or trade such as blacksmithing, weaving, candle making, woodworking, spinning, or pioneer cooking. You’ll interact with small groups of students, answer questions, and help them experience life in the 1800s.
    • Support Crew – Assist with set-up, tear-down, and keeping the event running smoothly.

    What You’ll Receive

    • A thank-you lunch each day you volunteer.
    • Free admission for you and your immediate family to enjoy the event.
