What You’ll Advocate For

As a RESULTS advocate, you’ll use your voice to:

• Protect U.S. health and nutrition programs like SNAP and Medicaid
• Improve tax policies that support people with low incomes, including the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit
• Raise awareness of global challenges like child malnutrition, access to vaccines, maternal and child health, access to education, and the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria
• Advocate for U.S. support for global health and education programs and stronger health systems worldwide

No experience? No problem. We’ll support you every step of the way.

Start Your Advocacy Journey

We’re now recruiting for our Fall New Advocate Training Program, starting with a 1-hour New Advocate Orientation in August. Sign up today at www.results.org/volunteer

Come learn who we are, what we fight for, and how to take your first action. Everyone who signs up and attends will receive our New Advocate Action Plan and Starter Pack to guide you through the basics.

Then, join our New Advocate Incubator in September and October. You will:

• Attend two interactive training and action sessions led by RESULTS staff
• Learn to speak powerfully about solutions to poverty
• Build your skills and confidence in speaking to Congress, writing powerful media, and mobilizing your community
• Take meaningful actions as part of our national campaigns

When you complete the incubator, you’ll be introduced to a local RESULTS group and take your advocacy to the next level.

During the summer, we’ll provide you with updates, action opportunities, and invitations to local and national advocacy events.
