    1-2 hours a week. More time is available. Students can volunteer while in school or after school. Others can volunteer during the day or after hours and on weekends.

    Be willing to talk to teachers/counselors at schools with information about AFS and international student exchange. Visit the school/s 2-3 times a year.

    School Outreach Coordinator

    AFS is a cultural exchange program creating experiences for young students to study abroad and for families to host international students.

    Be the point of contact between a school or schools and AFS.

    • Builds relationships with schools and educators

    • Promotes educational programs, services, or events

    • Organizes school visits, workshops, and informational sessions

    • Works with school staff to coordinate services

    NOTE: Although this is a volunteer opportunity, you must live in the state of Georgia.
