    Description

Help take care of support animals

We are a nonprofit that uses gentle farm animals and horses in therapeutic programs for people in need including children and adults with special needs, children facing life-threatening illness, teens struggling with mental health issues, Veterans, senior citizens, and inmates in the local county jail.

We have volunteers who help us take care of our animals every day. This includes barn chores such as cleaning animal stalls, scrubbing water buckets, etc. It also includes letting the animals out for playtime and some light feeding. Our animals include 3 miniature horses, 2 goats, 3 sheep, 2 bunnies, 2 guinea pigs and 12 chickens. The best part of this volunteer opportunity is getting to spend time with our sweet, loving animals!

Morning animal care takes approximately 2 hours and we ask our volunteers to start their shift sometime between 8:30 am and 9:00 am. We do require a weekly commitment for this volunteer opportunity. No previous farm animal experience required. We'll provide training. We request that you commit to the volunteering slot for 3 months or longer.

We ask all our volunteers to come to a volunteer orientation and to do a background check. The orientations are scheduled about every 6 weeks. Contact us for the date of the next orientation.

    1 shift available:

    • We are especially looking for help on Fridays and Saturdays.: Wednesday October 01, 2025 - 08:30 to 11:00 PST
