    Description

Cardiologists, Pediatric Cardiologists, Echocardiographers help safeguard Young Hearts

    Hello from CHAD!

The Chad Foundation for Athletes and Artists has provided 10,000 heart screenings (Echocardiograms and Ekgs) to young people to prevent Sudden Cardiac Death in Young Athletes. Our new focus is a "Heart-Healthy Living Program for the Young through Diet, Exercise, and Monthly Tips from Cardiologists, Fitness, and Nutrition Professionals." Topics will include the latest news in heart education for the young, lifestyle changes, heart-healthy menus, youth and family exercise programs, preventive heart screenings, CPR and AEDs, warning signs, and risk factors in the young.

Monthly Zoom audio interviews with Cardiologists, Pediatric Cardiologists, Echocardiographers, and Sports Physicians specializing in heart, sports medicine, hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity will inform and inspire young people and their parents instilling a Heart-Healthy Lifestyle for the entire Family. In CHAD'S Heart Screening history, cardiolgists found 1/3 of the young screened had 1 or more premature cardiovascular risk factors. CHAD was honored to work with renowned hospitals such as Johns Hopkins, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, NYU Langone, and Columbia Presbyterian in our Heart Screening Program. Your up-to-date studies and valuable experience will be instrumental in raising awareness of heart health in youth, their parents, and the whole family.

Our namesake, Chad Alan Butrum, was only 26 years old when he died of "Sudden Cardiac in Young Athletes," while playing football with no history of heart problems. He lived his life caring about the health and welfare of all people, regardless of age, orientation, or heritage-"Healthy Body, Mind, and Spirit." Chad never drank alcohol, smoked cigarettes, or did drugs. He loved sports and eating healthy food. His non-profit foundation is founded on the values he lived by so that others may live long, healthy lives and achieve their greatest dreams.

Your invaluable expertise can help instill a heart-healthy lifestyle now and for future generations. We would be honored to have your participation in one of our monthly Zoom interviews to be scheduled at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your including a CV. Thank you for your daily work to safeguard young hearts and save lives.
